How Bauhütte Design furniture is developed

My workshop is located in Zurich, on a bank of the Limmat River.
I find it to be an atmospheric environment to build furniture. Woodworking stands
at the center of my work, using mostly domestic timber. Switzerland has many different timber species, offering a variety of textures, colours and character.

Sometimes, the combination of different materials can give a piece of furniture
a special note. So I incorporate other materials such as Fabric, Felt, Leather, Glass,
Aluminum, Steel and Chrome into my designs as well.

I use modern woodworking machines in the workshop. Assembly and finishing are
done in the traditional way, by hand. Only environmentally friendly products are
used for construction and finishing of the designs.
